A multi-disciplinary artist, with Culture and the traditions of her people at the very core of her artistry, Matilda Nona is an awarded and respected artist from Zenadth Kes/the Torres Strait Islands. A printmaker across a range of techniques, Nona is also a master painter (who incorporates natural materials), weaver, photographer, and textiles artist. She hails from the Tupmul clan of Badu Island (Spiny Butterfly Ray being their totem).
